Our mission is to share God's love with our community and our world
Our History
Faith Evangelical and Reformed church was founded in 1951 to provide religious education to the children of the General Protestant Orphan Home.
In 1957, the Evangelical and Reformed denomination merged with the Congregational Christian denomination to form the United Church of Christ.
In 1968, the Fellowship Hall and classrooms beneath it were added to the church.
In the mid 60's we began supporting a preschool in the church classrooms.
In 2009, we renovated our chancel area and updated our sanctuary, kitchen and memorial garden.
Today, our mission has evolved into a ministry for our local and wider communities.
Service
Our mission is to reach out in love beyond the church doors with compassion to all in need. We bring love to life with action, because life brings love to us in the Holy Spirit.
We support local, national and global ministries through funds and activities.
Through our missions committee, we contribute to the following places: SEM Food Pantry, Interparish Ministry, One Way Farm, James Saul Center, Washington United Church of Christ, Crossroad, and Rubate Teachers' College - Rubate Kenya.

Young Families Group
Our Young Families Group offers fun and meaningful activities for families with preschool and elementary school children. We alternate family friendly events with a Parent's Night Out once a month. It provides a perfect opportunity to spend a great time with the family. On the Parent's Night Out, the children are left in the capable hands of our babysitters, and the parents are able to spend some time with the other young adults! Come join us!
