Church Staff
The Rev. Kay Young became pastor of Faith United Church of Christ in March 2007. She previously served Redding First United Methodist Church in Redding, CA.
Kay has a Master of Divinity and a Master of Music and a diverse background in professional theater and music and has worked extensively with children and youth, and directs the Faith UCC Youth Choir. She is a certified spiritual director and has led workshops on Laughter and Play, Clergy Renewal, Women's Gatherings, and Spiritual Direction. She is the mother of five grown children: four sons and one daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, hiking, reading, camping, backpacking, meditating, and playing trumpet and guitar.

Paula King is our custodian and one of our Christian Education teachers. She has been a staff member of Faith since 1998. Besides working at Faith, Paula has been with Cincinnati Public Schools for 25 years as a paraprofessional in Special Ed. Paula enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Lori and Heather, and their families. She is grandmother to Connor, Jason, Jenah, and Josie, and "mom" to four cats: Mendy, Woody, Baby, and Mr. Meow. In her spare time, she enjoys needlework, gardening, music, crafting, baking, and reading.
Sharon Boyles, our Office Manager, joined the Faith UCC staff in December 2007. She has a degree in English Literature from the University of Cincinnati. Sharon is a member of Faith's handbell choir and worship band and is also a member of the Worship Team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, playing guitar and banjo, running, biking, and traveling in the Southwest.
Elizabeth Fiene is our SONKA liaison. She has a degree in History and a Master's in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Liz is a UCC Partner in Education, a member of SONKA's Church and Ministry Team, and a SONKA ACT representative.
Liz enjoys spending time with her daughter Megan and son-in-law Jeff, and her granddaughter Isabel. She also enjoys music, reading, Faith UCC Missions and worship, knitting, and embroidery.
Michael Massey, our Bells of Faith handbell choir director and church musician, began directing the choir in 2000. He has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master of Church Music, with an emphasis in choral music, composition, and French horn. Michael and his wife, Leslie, have a son, Jonathan, who is also a musician.
Avedis Manoogian is our church musician and director of the Chancel Choir. He has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He joined the Faith staff in 2008.
